Lifesavers Respond to NSW Storm Emergency

Surf Life Saving NSW has supported SES in flood zones with volunteer lifesavers responding to calls for assistance across Sydney and the Central Coast in the wake of the wild storms that battered the region over the weekend and into Monday.

Rock Fisher Rescued While Rescue Boats Race

A 34 year-old rock fisherman narrowly escaped drowning after being washed into the sea at Pretty Point near Batemans Bay on Sunday 12 June, thanks to the skills of a highly experienced Inflatable Rescue Boat (IRB) crew.

 

Rockfisher Rescued by Lifeguards near Kingscliff

A Surf Life Saving NSW Emergency Rescue Beacon (ERB) was successful in alerting first responders to a man washed from rocks at Fingal Head on the Far North Coast this morning. The fisherman was picked up in challenging surf conditions near the rocks at Dreamtime Beach by Australian Lifeguard Service lifeguards aboard a jetski.

Tassie Surf Lifesavers to the Rescue in Floods

Nine specialists in Flood Water Rescue from Surf Life Saving Tasmania arrived in northern NSW last night and have already performed their first rescue – a man and his dog stranded on the back of a ute in floodwaters at Woodburn.
