The Mid North Coast Member Services team have had a busy but successful summer as they work to deliver the best experience possible for all lifesavers throughout their local area.

For almost 20 years the Central Coast Branch has been delivering an innovative and successful program to thousands of school students to help keep them safe while at the beach.

It’s been a busy but productive summer on the beach for Wamberal’s Ramzy Fawzy who ended the 2016/17 with the title of NSW Assessor of the year.

It’s been an exceptionally busy summer for the 2017 for the NSW Facilitator of the Year Janne Moran who hails from Pacific Palms SLSC.

As the NSW Trainer of the Year for 2017, Susan Croad is extremely dedicated to ensuring that frontline surf lifesavers have the skills and knowledge needed to be safe and deliver the best possible experience for beachgoers when they are out on patrol.

Over 300 of the state’s finest surf lifesavers took time out away from the ocean on Saturday night to celebrate a successful season at a glittering ceremony in Sydney.

It’s a universal truth that all good things eventually do come to an end and after 60 summers of patrolling the beaches of Coogee, Collaroy and Crowdy Head the time has come for John Ward to hang up his lifesaving cap.

Surf Life Saving NSW is preparing to celebrate the commitment and heroic actions of the season’s most outstanding volunteers at the 2016 Surf Life Saving NSW Awards of Excellence, proudly presented by Stramit Building Products.

Our Profile of the Month for July is Robert Readman from Cabarita Beach SLSC. Rob is the Chief Training Officer for his local club and was recently announced as a Trainer of the Year finalist for the 2016 Awards of Excellence. A latecomer to the Surf Life Saving family joining just three seasons ago, Rob has had an enormous impact on the movement.
