It’s the competitive return of an event buried deep in the hearts of many within the Surf Life Saving movement, with the NSW Board Riding Championships returning to the Surf Sports calendar with a bumper weekend at the iconic Merewether Beach.

The NSW Pool Rescue team will be looking to make a splash this weekend as the nation’s best swimmers land on the Gold Coast for the Australian Pool Rescue Championships.

The state’s swimming future is in safe hands after nearly 250 surf club associated athletes demonstrated their technical skills in the pool at the 2022 Surf Life Saving NSW Pool Rescue Championships at the Peninsula Leisure Centre in Woy Woy.

The NSW Inflatable Rescue Boat team is preparing to mix it with the best this weekend when the Australian and Interstate IRB Championships kick off at Mollymook from 21-24 July.

Kiama Downs SLSC has confirmed a clean sweep of the Sharkskin NSW IRB series events, taking out the Sharkskin NSW IRB Championships in South West Rocks on Sunday 10 July in a nail-biting finish. It is their ninth title overall and sixth in the last seven years of competition.

Conditions are expected to be perfect for racing when the Sharkskin NSW Inflatable Rescue Boat (IRB) Championships descend on the Mid North Coast from 8-10 July – the official return of the state’s signature IRB event after a two-year hiatus.
