Surf Life Saving NSW is pleased to announce the 2019 Interstate Pool Rescue Team. NSW athletes will travel to Queensland in August for the annual representative competition.

The Surf Life Saving NSW Pool Rescue Championships brought together almost 450 lifesavers on the weekend for the 11th year of competition. The State Championship event held at Woy Woy Peninsula Leisure Centre showcased the technical skills that are needed to execute a successful water rescue by our lifesavers.

This weekend 350 surf lifesavers will hit One Mile Beach, Cape Hawke SLSC on the state’s lower north coast for the 2019 Sharkskin NSW Inflatable Rescue Boat (IRB) Championships.

11 NSW athletes have been selected as part of the Australian Youth Lifesaving Team (AYLT) squad of which a team will be chosen to represent Australia at the Life Saving World Championships 2020 (LWC2020).
