It was a victory several years in the making – NSW taking out the 2025 Interstate Surf Boat Championships and bringing an end to all talk of a Queensland three-peat on an action-packed day in Coffs Harbour. 

Crews from all over NSW tasted success and enjoyed the challenge of the first running of the NSW Surf Boat Metro, Regional and Interseries Championships, held over two huge days at Ocean Beach on the Central Coast on 1-2 February. 

Ten minutes of surf sports action that needs to be seen to be believed – a near-flawless race, a capsized ski, and a sprint finish for the ages – was the foundation for a huge upset in the Iron Series finale, with Newport SLSC’s Conner Maggs named the 24/25 champion at North Burleigh beach on Sunday 2 February. 

Warilla Barrack Point SLSC has claimed an impressive three-peat of overall point score titles as the 2025 Country Championships closed with a huge celebration from the home club and a big announcement about where the next Championships will move to.

All roads are leading to a huge finals package on Sunday at Warilla Barrack Point SLSC after another huge day at the 2025 NSW Country Championships saw some medals awarded and finals places earned in the South Coast sun.

Athletes experienced four seasons in one day and some extremely challenging surf, but faced it all with a huge smile and some incredible skills as the first day of the 2025 NSW Country Championships was contested at Warilla Barrack Point surf club on Friday 24 January. 

Surf Life Saving clubs from regional NSW have their boards and skis packed and have hit the road to Warilla with the 2025 NSW Country Championships ready to run from this Friday and across the weekend, January 24–26, at Warilla-Barrack Point SLSC on the state’s South Coast.
