In this edition of SurfLIFE we feature the astonishing rescue of four people by a fourteen-year-old Nipper in northern NSW, the development of a Surf Life Saving Club in Gaza (thanks to the support of a Northern Beaches surf club) and the response of surf lifesavers during the devastating NSW bushfire emergency. We celebrate 40 years of women in Surf Life Saving with the all women’s March Past at the 2020 NSW Surf Life Saving Championships and the heroic mass rescue by an off duty surf lifesaver on Sydney’s Bronte Beach. We also look at the positive impact unmanned aerial vehicles (drones) are having on extending lifesaving services.
