Woonona Member’s Lifesaving Efforts Way Beyond the Flags

There may not be a truer definition of ‘beyond the flags’ lifesaving than that of Greg Tuchin’s first aid assistance rendered some 8,000km from his home club of Woonona SLSC and, perhaps more interestingly, more than 30 degrees Celsius below what he’s used to in the peak of summer. 

National Medals for Dedicated NSW Lifesavers

Surf Life Saving NSW would like to congratulate a host of surf lifesavers who have been awarded the National Medal, as well as Second Clasps and First Clasps for their sustained service and commitment to Surf Life Saving.

Lifesavers Prepared for Increased Risk this New Year

Despite predictions of possible ‘unsettled weather’ across parts of coastal NSW to end 2024, volunteer lifesavers and lifeguards are remaining vigilant ahead of what has traditionally proven one of the most challenging and dangerous times of the year.
