Nearly 600 volunteer lifesavers and their supporters have celebrated the season that was and congratulated their fellow members at the annual Surf Life Saving NSW Awards of Excellence in Sydney on 16 August. 

The NSW Awards of Excellence is a night to celebrate the incredible people in our organisation and the impact they have on their clubs, its members and their local communities. In 2025, the four Branches from the Hunter to Sydney share the spotlight with members and initiatives worth celebrating.

Surf Life Saving NSW would like to congratulate surf lifesavers who have been awarded the National Medal, as well as Second Clasps and First Clasps for their sustained service and commitment to Surf Life Saving. 

Congratulations to the members of Surf Life Saving NSW who have been named in this year’s King’s Birthday Honours list.

Surf Life Saving NSW members and initiatives will contest four categories at the upcoming NSW Community Sports Awards, while one of the faces behind country surf sports’ greatest success story of the 2020’s will be recognised with a Distinguished Service Award.
